What amazes me about the Strawberry Shortcake line is the durability. Those little clothes are not that easy to get on and off so the stitching had to be tight. Even dolls that have obviously been
loved and played with for years still very often look good. The detail is another wonderful plus on these particular dolls as well as the playsets and furniture. They are really little works of art.
Betty Boop Collectibles: Boop, Boop, e Doop, as Betty would say. I know the Betty Boop dolls objectify women and I should be opposed to them on principal but there is something honest about her.
She is conscious of being objectified but there seems to be an intelligent choice being made.
In any case, and for whatever reason, I do like Betty Boop dolls. There is a broad line of Boop purses, cosmetic bags, clocks and other collectibles besides the dolls but the dolls are the most collectible.
Betty Boop dolls, MIB, go for around $25 - $30 and these are the new dolls, not vintage! The most expensive I've seen of the new ones is Talking Biker Betty Boop With Motorcycle which runs around $80.

 Unique SSC Collectible - Fabric Dolls, SOLD I had this set for some time and hated to see it go. I'm keeping the info up on the site in case anyone else needs info. I sold mine for $20 but could have gotten more. I sold to a repeat customer so discounted from my asking price of $30. I've been researching, trying to find any information on it but have been unsuccessful. These are stuffed, fabric Strawberry Shorcake dolls. They feature all your favorites and since they have Plum Pudding as a boy, not a girl, they seem to have come from
earlier times in the Strawberry Shortcake lineage. They are quite simply adorable. Each doll is about 5 inches tall, completely hand-sewn and in excellent shape. Raspberry Tart has a stain on the back of her head, Lemon Meringue's hat may be a slightly faded in the middle (hard to tell if it's the fabric or faded a bit) and there are very minute little spots on a couple of the other dolls but they are all just lovely and in really good condition. There are no tags or markings at all but they are obviously modeled after the Strawberry
Shortcake dolls to such an extent that I have to believe they are from some authorized pattern somewhere.
The dolls included in this set are Strawberry Shortcake, Plum Pudding as a boy, Raspberry Tart, Orange Blossom, Huckleberry Pie, Apricot, Crepe Suzette, Apple Dumpling, Blueberry Muffin, Lime Chiffon, Butter Cookie, Lemon Meringue and Cherry Cuddler.
BERRY HAPPY HOME Strawberry Shortcake Berry Happy Home - This Happy Home, as far as I can tell, is complete except for 1/2 of the porch railing and 1 green plant that goes on the side. The little mail box opens and closes, the front porch swing works, and even most of the little glued-on rock stickers look good. A few are frayed or loose but overall, this is a wonderful looking old SSC collectible.

hook to put the pool side part on is broken but that it still stays together just fine. I didn't even know it was broken until I tried to take the house apart for a prospective buyer. These houses were made to last, they're put together tightly, so I'd rather ship as is than risk breaking any more of the hooks that hold it together but will disassemble if needed. The estimated value for this collectible is around $200.00 but I have just reduced my Berry Happy Home to only $125 plus shipping. Keep in mind that shipping may be quite high since this is a sturdy-built dollhouse and weighs more than modern versions.. However, I reserve the right to raise the price in the future so if you have an interest, please email me for details.
Important note on shipping: I have tried several times to try and take this house apart and it's just not something I can do. It's put together too well and I'm afraid I'll break something so I have to sell it altogether. It weighs about 20 pounds and is triple oversize so shipping is NOT cheap. I'd much prefer to find someone close enough to pick it up so if you live near northeast Alabama, let me know cause that's a better option all around.
