Star Trek Trivia:
The Star Trek saga began within the mind of Gene Roddenberry, it's creator. The television show that first brought Gene's vision to life was
Star Trek, now referred to as The Original Series, which first aired on September 8, 1966.
The original Star Trek starred William Shatner as Captain Kirk and was destined to become a cult favorite. Even though 5 additional series sprang from the original concept, many remain loyal
to that first Star Trek show.
Probably the most quoted line from that show is "to boldly go where no man has gone before".

Star Trek, the original series

First edition Star Trek books coming: I just came across three first edition Star Trek hardback books on my travels. I will be posting pictures soon. Look for them! One is
Izmaldi, can't recall other two names but two of these are in excellent shape and the third has just one small tear on cover.
Also available, pictures to serious buyers on request: First Pocket Books Hardcover Printing Editions of "Generations" by J. M. Dillard, "Federation" by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, "The Lost Years" by J. M. Dillard and "Reunion" by Michael Jan Friedman. All four books in very good condition. "The Lost Years" has a very small tear on the cover at the spine and Reunion has a little bending on the top of the cover but books themsevles are in great shape.

I have an affinity for the original series Star Trek over any of the newer versions. Even though the sets and atmosphere were more cheaply created and the special effects were lacking at times, there was something so interesting about that mix of characters.
