Literally speaking, the term vintage usually refers to products made in 1968 or earlier. However, with some collectibles like Strawberry Shortcake dolls, the vintage
(or first edition, oldest versions) started in 1979.
Please note: All playsets listed are gently played with but remarkably in tact and in good shape. If there are imperfections I will list them. I will also be happy to send larger pictures with more detail if you have an interest.
Strawberry Shortcake Busy Bug, Complete The Busy Bug is designed to carry Strawberry Shortcake Miniatures. He's just the cutest thing. His feet move and he pushes a wheel
barrel in front and three little flower carts behind. This is a complete, vintage busy bug. He is in very good shape. He has a few little scuffies on his head but other than that, looks great. I've seen just the flower carts on ebay for $5 each.
All Aboard the SSC Trolley - The wheels still turn fine and, when they do, the white daisy on top spins. The bell surface is tarnished but still dings. All the stickers are still on but a few have
come very slightly loose at the edges. There was apparently a destination sign that came with the trolley but mine doesn't have that. Might be hard to find that, actually, unless it's MIB. My trolley comes with one token.
The Strawberry Shortcake Tricycle This is probably my favorite of the accessories. It is just so neatly made. This one is in great shape. No scuffies to mention. A lot of collectors like to have the tricycle to
display their dolls but even if you just buy it for your children to play with, they will love it.
Strawberry Shortcake Garden House, Complete - The garden house, or gazebo, is one of the more intricate pieces of the SSC line. It is just lovely, with green leaves and red strawberries, a little
drop down storage space and all the furniture. It comes with a table and two chairs (stickers still look good on all three), a three-piece grill, and at least one hammock. Mine has two hammocks but I'm not sure it came that way. One may be a bonus. The gazebo / garden house opens on
two sides and has a strawberry latch for each size that opens. The only imperfection I've noticed is that the strawberry on top looks scuffed. Still in tact but just a bit scuffed. The value of a mint garden house, complete, is around $65.
Flitterbit, the Butterfly, Complete, SOLD Flitter-bit comes with two seats for carrying SSC dolls off to flighty adventures! One thing I've noticed is that it's kinda hard to find her with both seats for some weird reason but this one has
both. She has two detachable wings of a hard plastic, see-through in places. This Flitterbit is in
great shape. Her body has a few, very small scuffies but overall, she looks good.
Other Items not yet posted: In addition to quite a few dolls and doll outfits I haven't had time to list, I also have a Snail Cart, Bake Shoppe, an SSC glass, an SSC purse, an SSC game, the saddle for Philbert Wormly III, and the Oatsmobile for Maple Stirrup.
If you are looking for anything in particular, be sure to let me know.
Some of my Strawberry Shortcake Playsets are selling even before I can get them listed here so if you are looking if you are looking for something you don't see, let me know
